Increasingly, more and more places are opening digitized materials for free. There are already countless free e-book websites. Dozens of websites have been tested directly, but there are many places that mainly provide general public books that have unstable services, poor electronic quality, or limited downloads. This is because there is a economic issues. Web sites that provide stable and high-quality book materials are almost academic-oriented.

2.  好讀(Hao doo)

It is a very stable e-book platform that has already been opened for 20 years. It is a place where some meaningful readers are starting and creating together and is operated purely by donate. It provides classic, out-of-print books, and books that are not easy to find. There are many novels. It is in the form of an epub file that can be downloaded or can be viewed directly online. (If it's an epub, you can install and watch a leader program like freda) Some readers are making their own audio versions. If you are a Chinese learner or a Chinese-related major, it is a good place to enjoy.

This is why these e-books were created.
In 2015, public libraries, government agencies, and research institutes collaborated from university libraries to digitize publications held throughout Taiwan from 1911 to 1949, and conducted the Taiwan Literature Digitalization Project.

As a result, the "Taiwan Chinese E-book Library" was created, and all materials were opened digitally so that readers around the world can use them for research or academic exchanges on Taiwan.
